The classic Keel Twin fish was developed inthe mid-’70s as a kneeboard bySteve Lis. Pintail surfboards were a favourite of his, but his swim fins wouldhang over the side creating drag. He decided to split the tail, giving him thewidth needed to support his fins, while still holding on to the performancecharacteristics of a pintail.

It wasn’t long until he had refined the design to suit stand up surfers, and thefish design took off.
