haglofs-vassi-gtx-pro-ii-jacket-men-true-black-chlorophyll-green-dew-green
Haglöfs Vassi Gore-Tex Pro II Jacket Men True Black / Chlorophyll Green / Dew Green

The Haglöfs Vassi GTX Pro II Jacket Men in True Black / Chlorophyll Green / Dew Green is a shell for freeride days when weather protection, storage and adjustment all matter. This 608577 model belongs in a layered mountain setup. Choose the clothing underneath for your temperature and effort, and leave enough room to move normally with your backpack on.

Three-layer GORE-TEX Pro ePE supplies waterproof, windproof protection in a laminated construction. The membrane sits between the outer fabric and backing rather than remaining exposed inside the jacket. The polyamide outer material gives this a technical-shell role. It is worth separating that role from insulation: choose your midlayer deliberately instead of treating a protective jacket as the source of all your warmth.

The helmet-compatible hood with three-way adjustment lets you refine coverage around your own helmet. Try turning your head and looking over each shoulder with the hood adjusted. Your view and normal movement should remain comfortable. The soft lining at chin and neck is useful to check with the collar fully closed, especially if you wear a neck tube underneath.

A two-way main zipper and adjustable hem provide ways to manage the jacket around your stance and other equipment. An integrated snow skirt adds another closure at the waist. Check how the skirt sits over your trousers and how the hem behaves when you reach forward. Fit is about the whole setup, so assess these details together rather than choosing by chest width alone.

Two chest pockets, two lower pockets and a sleeve pass pocket divide your everyday mountain essentials. Two inner pockets offer additional space. Before leaving, check which openings remain easy to reach with a loaded backpack and gloves. Keep sharp or hard objects away from pressure points and protect electronics separately. The ventilation openings help you respond to warmer uphill sections; close them when wind and snowfall demand protection again.

A RECCO reflector is part of the equipment. It supplements professional rescue systems and does not replace avalanche equipment or training. Follow the instructions for your complete safety setup. For care, use the garment label rather than assuming every shell needs the same wash routine. Empty the pockets, dry the jacket after use and store it without damp layers inside.
