keen-jasper-zionic-terrain-java
Keen Jasper Zionic Terrain Java

The Keen Jasper Zionic Terrain Java combines the recognisable Jasper shape with a sole built around KEEN's Zionic hiking platform. This men's version in Terrain/Java has a brushed suede upper, an extended lacing system and a more pronounced tread than the classic Jasper. It is a considered choice for days that involve plenty of walking, whether your route takes you through the city, around a park or onto an easy trail. The brown colour works naturally with denim, utility trousers and everyday outdoor layers.

Suede with a practical lining. The leather upper gives the shoe its textured appearance, while a breathable mesh lining sits against the foot. KEEN sources the leather from a Leather Working Group certified tannery. The rubber KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper adds coverage at the front, where shoes often meet kerbs, stones and everyday scuffs. Eco Anti-Odor treatment is included for odour control, a useful detail in footwear that you plan to wear regularly.

A sole made for movement. Underneath, the rubber outsole uses 4 mm multidirectional lugs to provide traction in different directions. A stability shank adds support within the sole construction, while the foam footbed incorporates arch support and cushioning. Together, these details explain the Zionic's more active character. When comparing it with a classic Jasper, pay attention to the tread and underfoot feel: the Zionic brings a hiking influenced platform to an otherwise familiar everyday silhouette.

Adjust the fit from the front. KEEN calls this shape Contoured Fit, designed to follow the outline of the foot for a snug feel. The laces extend towards the toes, letting you adjust tension across more of the upper than a shorter lacing system. Start with the lower section, then tighten towards the ankle without pulling every row equally hard. Try both shoes with the socks you normally wear and walk around to check heel hold, toe room and pressure over the instep.

Keep the suede looking good. KEEN recommends gently removing loose dirt with a soft brush or a hand towel. For more persistent marks, choose a cleaner suitable for suede and follow its instructions. Small, regular cleaning sessions are easier than letting dirt build up over several outings. The Terrain/Java finish already has a textured look, so pair it with simple pieces and let the material and extended laces provide the detail.

Model: Jasper Zionic, men's version

Colour: Terrain/Java

Suede leather upper and mesh lining

Rubber outsole with 4 mm lugs

Foam footbed with arch support

Discover more KEEN footwear or compare the rest of our sneaker collection at Behind The Pines.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0914/5322/7390/files/Keen-Jasper-Zionic-Terrain-Java-1_4b6805b9-95d5-4469-9ce2-7f42b8508d01.jpg?v=1791471120
