The Contender is a reissued classic originally launched in 1995, drawing inspiration from Mizuno’s founder, Rhiachi Mizuno. Designed for entry-level runners, this lightweight shoe offers stability and support, making it perfect for both road and off-road running.

The upper features a combination of mesh and suede reinforcements, ensuring durability while providing optimal comfort. The midsole uses single-density compression-molded EVA foam with Mizuno’s Transpower technology in the heel, enhancing responsiveness, shock absorption, and cushioning.

The outsole features a one-piece solid rubber construction, with forefoot flex grooves for a smoother heel-to-toe transition. The timeless 90s aesthetic, balanced with matte mesh and suede accents, blends casual style with the sporty roots of this silhouette.
