The Patagonia R3® Yulex® Insertable Wetsuit Hood is an essential accessory for surfers and water sports enthusiasts active in colder waters. This hood is made from 85% Yulex® natural rubber and 15% synthetic rubber, providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional neoprene. The natural rubber is Forest Stewardship Council® certified, contributing to more sustainable production.

Materials and Sustainability
The hood features a thermal microgrid lining made from 95% polyester (51% recycled) and 5% recycled elastane, offering quick drying and excellent warmth. The exterior lining is made from 88% recycled polyester and 12% recycled elastane, and all fabrics are laminated with solvent-free AquaA™ glue.

Design and Functionality
The hood includes a 1.5mm neck flap that tucks into the wetsuit to prevent water entry. The seams are internally taped to minimize leakage. The design includes a three-panel construction that conforms to the head for added comfort and warmth, with an adjustable cord for a snug fit around the face.

Ease of Use and Versatility
The Supratex brim shields the face from the sun, and the hood is lightweight at only 181 grams. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory in Thailand, meaning the workers received a premium for their labor.

Care Instructions
For maintaining the hood, hand wash is recommended. Do not bleach, air dry, and do not iron.
