Yeti Skala Backpack 40L Ridgeline

The YETI Skala 40L Hiking Pack Ridgeline is a technical hiking backpack designed for demanding day hikes that require additional gear and carrying capacity. Built with a lightweight frame, durable materials and a highly adjustable fit system, it offers dependable support and organization across varied terrain.

At the core of the pack is the AlumaLite™ internal frame, engineered to provide structural stability while keeping overall weight low. This frame improves load distribution, allowing hikers to carry heavier equipment comfortably over longer distances.

The backpack uses an adjustable harness system with load lifters, enabling a customized fit across different torso lengths and body shapes. This system helps transfer weight efficiently to the hips and shoulders, improving balance and reducing fatigue during extended hikes.

The exterior is constructed from Guardcore™ Nylon, a lightweight yet highly durable material designed to withstand abrasion and changing weather conditions. This fabric protects essential gear while maintaining a manageable pack weight.

For easy access to equipment, the Skala backpack features the RipZip opening system, allowing the main compartment to open widely for quick visibility and access to stored gear. This design makes it easier to reach equipment located deep inside the pack without unpacking everything.

Comfort during active use is supported by a ventilated mesh back panel, which promotes airflow between the pack and the wearer’s back. This breathable design helps reduce heat buildup and moisture during long climbs or warm weather hikes.

Multiple internal and external storage compartments help organize hiking essentials such as clothing layers, navigation tools, food and safety equipment. Elastic side pockets keep water bottles within easy reach throughout the hike.

With a 40 litre capacity, the Skala pack offers more storage than the smaller 32L model, making it suitable for longer day hikes or outings that require additional gear.
