Combined with an entry rocker designed to suit the pocket, the New Wave Mid offers a controlled response that works well when drawing longer lines or linking sections with minimal effort.

This is a shape developed from repeated requests for a true all round mid length, one that can be surfed in a wide variety of waves without feeling overly specialised. Construction is based on FutureFlex Technology, designed and patented by Haydenshapes founder Hayden Cox. This build uses a stringer-less, high-density custom shaped EPS core laminated with biaxial fiberglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fiber frame. Within the laminate, the carbon fiber frame is central to the board’s flex behaviour, helping maximise speed and drive while reducing twist. The result is a board that stores and releases energy through transitions, adding life through turns without losing stability.
