Introducing the Delta Hoodie and Crewneck, made in the Netherlands

For years, a big part of what we do at Behind The Pines has been developing our own everyday essentials. If you have been with us for a while, you probably know the pieces made in Portugal that have become part of our core lineup. Clean basics, good fabrics and silhouettes that feel easy to wear, day in and day out.

Over the past year, we began working on something that takes that idea a step further. We wanted to create a small collection produced here in the Netherlands, on a level that sits above anything we have made before. Heavier fabrics, sharper fits and a focus on construction that goes far beyond standard basics.

After a year of development, the first pieces have finally arrived: the Delta Hoodie Asphalt, Delta Hoodie Sand, Delta Crewneck Asphalt and Delta Crewneck Sand.

The start of our Dutch made collection

The collection launches with four pieces: two hoodies and two crewnecks, each available in Asphalt and Sand. These items set the tone for where we want this new line to go.

Each piece is made from a dense 450 gsm cotton that carries a different kind of presence compared to our Portuguese basics. The fabric is heavier, stronger and designed to hold its shape through years of wear.

Inside, we chose an unbrushed loopback terry instead of fleece. That gives the garments a cleaner feel and a more breathable structure, making them easier to wear across different seasons.

A fit that represents us.

We wanted to create an oversized silhouette that feels relaxed but still sharp enough to wear with intention. That required time. The first patterns were close, but not quite there. Shoulders needed small changes, sleeves needed a different taper and the body needed more volume without feeling boxy.

We kept adjusting until the fit matched what we had in mind: clean, modern and comfortable without becoming oversized for the sake of it. It is the kind of fit you notice more when you wear it than when you first see it.

Asphalt and Sand, two tones to start with

To keep the focus on the fabric and fit, we launched the first Delta drop in just two colours.

Asphalt is our darker option, muted and easy to pair with almost anything. It works well if you want a heavyweight hoodie or crewneck that feels low-key and versatile.

Sand brings a lighter, warmer tone that works through all seasons. It gives the same heavy structure but with a softer visual feel.

A new direction, built on what we already do

This first Dutch made collection does not replace what we make in Portugal. It builds on it. Portugal remains the home of our essentials, while the Netherlands becomes the place for our more elevated, heavyweight pieces.

Two different production stories, each with its own strengths and purpose. The idea stays the same: make clothing that feels good, wears well and earns its place in your rotation.
