Reduced Burton snowboards, bindings, boots and Step On hardware. Burton is the largest brand in snowboarding and it stays there because the core products are genuinely well sorted, not because of the logo.

Everything here is current-construction product at a lower price, usually a previous-season graphic. Shape, flex and warranty are unchanged.

What is worth knowing before you buy

Burton runs its own mounting system. The Channel is a single slot down the middle of the board instead of insert packs, which lets you slide the stance forward or back and adjust the width continuously rather than in fixed steps. It is genuinely useful once you know what stance you like.

Their EST bindings are built for the Channel and have no baseplate disc under the foot, so the board flexes more naturally underneath you. Re:Flex bindings work on every board including the Channel, so if you might change boards later, Re:Flex is the safer buy.

Snowboards

The range covers everything from soft, forgiving beginner boards through to stiff directional freeride shapes. Getting the size right matters more than getting the model right, and it depends on weight, boot size and what you ride rather than your height. Step On

Burton's quick-entry system, where the boot clips into the binding at three points with no straps. It is fast, and once it is set up correctly it holds well. The catch is that boot and binding have to be bought as a system. We tested it against the Union version on snow and wrote it up in the Step On comparison review.

Bindings and boots

Burton's strap bindings are reliable and easy to service, and the boots are among the more consistent fits in snowboarding. How to put a setup together

Board first, then boots, then bindings. The board sets the character of the setup, the boots decide whether you enjoy the day, and the bindings connect the two. Match the flex across all three: a stiff binding on a soft beginner board fights it, and a soft boot in a stiff binding wastes both.
