Forum Snowboards Recon 2027 Snowboard

Snowboarding has always been at the core of Behind The Pines. Long before the store existed, most winters revolved around chasing snow, driving through the night toward the Alps, and spending as much time in the mountains as possible. That same passion still shapes the snowboard collection we curate today.

At Behind The Pines Amsterdam, we focus on carefully selected snowboard gear that we genuinely believe in. Every snowboard, binding, and boot in our collection is chosen with a strong focus on performance, durability, and riding feel. Many of the boards we sell are personally tested by us, allowing us to give honest advice based on real experience rather than marketing language alone.

Whether you are searching for your first setup or refining a highly specific freeride build, choosing the right snowboard makes an enormous difference on the mountain. Board shape, flex, camber profile, sidecut, stance, and construction all influence how a snowboard behaves in different terrain and snow conditions. If you want to better understand modern snowboard design, explore our Snowboards Explained guide or use the Snowboard Finder to narrow down the best option for your riding style.

Our snowboard collection covers a wide spectrum of riding styles and terrain preferences. From directional freeride shapes designed for deep powder days to versatile all-mountain boards and playful freestyle-focused twins, we curate boards that work across real mountain conditions rather than short-lived trends.

We carry snowboard brands that continue pushing snowboard design forward, including CAPiTA, Korua Shapes, Lib Tech, GNU, Bataleon, Stranda, Forum, Fjell, Island Snowboards, K2, Burton and Moss Snowstick. Every brand approaches snowboard design differently, from surf-inspired carving shapes to highly technical freestyle constructions and progressive freeride concepts.

A good snowboard setup goes beyond the board itself. The right combination of snowboard bindings and snowboard boots heavily influences comfort, response, control, and overall riding feel. A properly balanced setup simply makes snowboarding feel easier, more stable, and more intuitive across varying terrain.

Finding the correct snowboard size is equally important. A board that is too long, too soft, too wide, or too aggressive for your level can completely change your experience on snow. If you are unsure where to begin, our Snowboard Size Guide breaks down the most important factors including weight, riding style, terrain preference, and ability level.

At Behind The Pines, we believe snowboarding should feel personal. Different riders want completely different things from their setup. Some prioritise carving precision and stability at speed, while others focus on playful freestyle riding, powder float, or all-day comfort. That is exactly why we curate such a wide range of snowboard shapes and constructions.

Alongside our snowboard collection, we also stock a carefully selected range of snowboards, outerwear, goggles, helmets, technical layers, and mountain accessories designed to perform in real winter conditions. Everything available online is also available in our Amsterdam store, where we are always happy to help riders choose the right setup.

Whether you are preparing for your very first snowboard trip or already planning your next winter season, Behind The Pines is built around a genuine passion for snowboarding and mountain culture.
