Haglöfs Vassi GORE-TEX Pro II Bib Men's True Black

The Haglöfs Vassi GTX Pro II Bib Men in True Black is a shell bib for freeride skiing and snowboarding. The high bib construction is useful when you spend the day moving through soft snow and changing between riding, walking and waiting. Choose it for a complete layering setup: the outer garment handles weather protection while the clothing underneath supplies the warmth you need.

This 608576 model uses three-layer GORE-TEX Pro with an ePE membrane. The layered construction brings the outer fabric, membrane and backing together, giving the membrane a protected place within the material. Windproof and waterproof protection is the central reason to choose this fabric. A technical shell still needs appropriate ventilation and sensible layers when effort increases.

The adjustable shoulder straps let you set the bib height. Take time to check that adjustment with your usual base layers on, then bend your knees and reach forward. You should be able to adopt your normal riding position without the straps pulling on your shoulders. Check the upper section separately from the legs; a comfortable chest fit does not automatically mean the inseam is right.

Long ventilation zippers make it possible to release heat during an uphill section or warmer part of the day. Open them before you become too hot and close them as conditions change. The roomier lower-leg shape needs to work with your actual boots. Try the bib with those boots rather than relying on how it looks with a pair of trainers.

Two chest pockets and two cargo pockets offer accessible storage positions. Decide what belongs where before leaving, especially when a backpack waist belt crosses the garment. Keep hard objects away from pressure points, and protect items that must remain dry separately. The reinforced leg ends address a part of the trousers that experiences repeated contact during riding and walking.

A RECCO reflector is included. It is an additional rescue-system component, not a replacement for avalanche equipment, training or sound decisions. Follow the instructions for every item in your safety setup. For routine care, follow the garment's own care label and empty every pocket before washing.
