The K2 Almanac 2026 is built for riders who want an agile, responsive snowboard that excels across the resort. Designed as a modern Volume Shift board, it brings a wider platform and shorter length together to create fast edge initiation, powerful carving and consistent float without sacrificing control. Inspired by boards like the Party Platter and Excavator, the Almanac stands on its own as a capable daily driver for a broad range of riders.

Volume Shift boards are intended to be ridden shorter, and the Almanac follows suit. The wider outline increases stability and surface area while allowing riders to size down roughly 5 cm from their traditional length. This results in a nimble feel, faster turns and improved maneuverability on narrow trails, trees or technical terrain.

The board uses a Combination Camber profile with traditional camber underfoot and lifted contact points in the tip and tail. This hybrid design delivers stability and pop while reducing the chance of catching an edge, making it comfortable for carving, side hits and mixed snow conditions. The raised contact points also add a smooth, fluid feel when transitioning from edge to edge.

At the core, the Almanac uses K2’s BAP Core, a blend of bamboo, aspen and poplar. This construction balances strength, durability and consistent flex with a lively feel. The board is reinforced with a tip to tail carbon backbone, adding snap, precision and drive through turns while keeping the overall flex accessible.

The Sintered 4000 base provides speed, durability and long term wax retention. Finished with a stone grind, it maintains glide in both cold, dry snow and warmer afternoon conditions. The biax fiberglass layup adds a forgiving flex pattern that works well for intermediate and advanced riders who want agility without excessive stiffness.

Directional shaping supports improved float in fresh snow, and the Almanac includes an additional forward binding insert pack, giving riders the option to set the stance back when a storm cycle hits. Combined with its wider waist width, the board feels stable at medium to high speeds while maintaining high maneuverability in tight pockets and trees.

With a medium flex rating of 5, the Almanac offers a balanced ride that adapts easily to all mountain, freestyle elements and powder laps. Whether cruising resort groomers, carving fast arcs or exploring natural terrain, the Almanac prioritises fun, smooth turning and all round versatility.
