La Paz Mesquita Blue

The La Paz Mesquita Blue is a long-sleeve polo made from heavyweight cotton jersey. Its 100% cotton fabric gives this Blue version a substantial everyday character, while the collar keeps the neckline clearly defined. La Paz describes it as a regular fit and true to size. The garment is pre-washed to reduce shrinkage and made in Portugal. It is an uncomplicated option when you want the ease of a jersey top with a more structured neckline.

The collar gives a polo a more defined neckline than a plain tee, without requiring a formal outfit. Pair it with denim or straightforward trousers and let the top provide the main detail. When layering, check that the collar sits cleanly beneath your jacket and that the sleeves do not bunch. This makes the piece easy to use across a day that includes both outdoor time and indoor plans.

Choose the fit you will actually wear. Compare the size with a similar garment that already fits well. Lay that piece flat and check its width, length and the position of the seams. A size letter is only a starting point, especially when moving between brands or different cuts. Try the garment with the layers you intend to wear and move naturally: reach forward, sit down and check that the shape still feels comfortable. Extra room should be a deliberate choice, rather than a substitute for checking the proportions.

Build the outfit around proportion and texture. Keep the surrounding pieces straightforward when you want this design to stand out. Denim, plain trousers and familiar footwear give you an easy starting point. For a more layered combination, consider how the lengths sit together and whether the outer layer leaves enough room. The aim is an outfit that feels useful throughout an ordinary day, from travelling and walking to spending time indoors.

Care supports regular use. Follow the sewn-in care label for washing, drying and ironing, as instructions can differ between fabrics and finishes. Separate colours where needed and avoid treating every garment in the wardrobe with the same programme. Let the piece dry fully before putting it away. Deal with small marks promptly using an appropriate method for the fabric, and store it without forcing it into an awkward shape. Careful everyday handling helps preserve the appearance without adding unnecessary complexity.
