The Moss PQ 54 is a masterpiece of snowsurf design, blending Japanese craftsmanship with technical performance for riders who appreciate precision, balance, and flow. As part of the Performance Quad Series, this freeride board is inspired by surfboard shaping, translating that same responsive and fluid motion to mountain terrain.
The board features a Snowsurf Camber profile, with the camber peak positioned closer to the front foot. This design enhances agility and control, providing immediate response in variable conditions while mimicking the sensation of front-foot surfing on snow. Whether carving firm slopes or slashing deep powder, the PQ 54 maintains powerful edge hold and a smooth, natural feel.
Its core combines poplar and bamboo in a re-engineered triple density construction, delivering a perfect mix of strength, energy transfer, and lightweight flex. Bamboo stringers placed along the sidecut amplify precision during turns, giving the board exceptional stability and drive when carving at speed.
The 45° bias woven fiberglass layers are tuned for balanced torsional response, reducing weight while refining board feel. This combination provides a confident, reactive ride that adapts to changing terrain. Underfoot, the sintered ISO Speed graphite base ensures top-tier glide and durability. Infused with carbon and fluor additives, it minimizes drag and keeps momentum even in wet or sticky snow.
A robust ABS sandwich sidewall construction reinforces edge strength and durability, protecting the board from impact and wear. The double concave tail channels snow efficiently, locking in turns while reducing drag, creating the effortless glide that defines Moss’s snowsurf philosophy.
Sized at 154 cm, the PQ 54 features an effective edge of 1139 mm, nose width of 316 mm, waist width of 274 mm, and a setback of 20 mm for natural directional float. Designed by Naoto Kotsugai, this model embodies the artistry and performance expected from Moss.
The Moss PQ 54 is built for riders who appreciate a board that carves like a surf fin, accelerates with precision, and responds intuitively in all snow conditions. It’s more than a snowboard, it’s a pure expression of movement and flow, connecting surf and snow in perfect harmony.
