Opinel N°10 Corkscrew Knife with Case

The Opinel N°10 Corkscrew Knife with Case is built for outdoor meals rather than abstract multitool collecting. A 10 cm stainless blade handles bread, cheese and charcuterie; the beech handle integrates a professional five-turn corkscrew and a steel bottle-opening rod. The set is completed by an R-PET belt sheath made from recycled crushed bottles.

The 10 cm martensitic stainless-steel blade is specified at 55–57 HRC and offers useful length for food preparation at a picnic table or campsite. Stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance and straightforward upkeep in normal conditions, but food acids, salt and detergent should still be cleaned away promptly. Use a board rather than hard ceramic to protect the edge.

A professional five-turn stainless corkscrew folds into the handle. Its spiral gives enough engagement for controlled cork removal without adding a separate tool to the basket. The steel rod at the end works as a bottle opener and hanging point. These functions make the N°10 more meal-specific than a standard pocket knife, while keeping the familiar folding format.

The varnished beech handle is hard, uniform and comfortable, with the natural light tone typical of Opinel. A Virobloc ring locks the blade open during cutting and closed during transport. Always set it deliberately before use, and fold the corkscrew fully away before handling the knife as a cutter.
