The Patagonia R3 Yulex Split Toe Surf Booties are designed for surfers seeking maximum control, warmth, and durability in cold water. These 3mm surf shoes are made from 85% Yulex® natural rubber sourced from FSC-certified plantations and 15% synthetic rubber, providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional neoprene.

Materials and Construction

The exterior is made from 88% recycled polyester and 12% recycled elastane, ensuring flexibility and durability. The lining consists of solution-dyed 95% polyester (51% recycled) and 5% recycled elastane, forming a thermal microgrid that dries quickly and offers excellent insulation. All fabrics are laminated with solvent-free AquaA™ glue, reducing environmental impact.

Design and Functionality

The split-toe design enhances board control and feel, while the Y-strap closure keeps the bootie securely in place. A microgasket at the ankle prevents water entry. The diamond-grip, non-marking sole provides excellent traction on wet surfaces. The fit is snug and adjustable, making these booties suitable for intensive use.
