The ROAM Tech is the brand’s flagship surfboard bag, built to deliver maximum protection, refined functionality, and long-term durability for surfers who travel light but demand serious performance. Designed as a high-spec solution for both everyday use and strike missions, this bag balances robust construction with practical features that make transport simple and reliable.

At the core of the Tech bag is 10mm high density padding, providing consistent impact protection across the entire board. This padding is paired with a ripstop nylon side panel, chosen for its resistance to abrasion and tearing during frequent loading, roof rack transport, or airport handling. On the opposite side, a heat reflective silver polytarp panel helps reduce heat buildup, keeping boards cooler when exposed to sun during travel or storage.

The interior is finished with a water and wax proof polytarp lining, preventing moisture, wax residue, and salt from soaking into the bag. This makes the Tech particularly suitable for daily use, where wet boards and wetsuits are part of the routine. Integrated ventilation panels further assist with moisture management, reducing the risk of odor or material degradation over time.

A key feature is the expanding fin area at the tail, which allows boards to be packed with fins installed when needed. When fins are removed, the tail folds flat to keep the bag streamlined during travel. The nose and tail zones are extra reinforced, targeting the most impact-prone areas of the board during transport.

Carrying comfort is handled through a buckle-free removable shoulder strap combined with a padded carry handle. The strap system includes three shoulder strap attachment points, allowing you to rebalance the bag depending on load distribution, especially useful when carrying a wetsuit in the integrated wetsuit pocket. Additional details such as corrosion-free zippers and an ID badge holder complete the travel-ready design.

As with all ROAM board bags, the Tech is cut true to size. A bag labelled 6’8 is designed to fit boards up to and including 6’8, giving you confidence when packing different shapes within the same size range.
