The ROAM Tech Plus is the evolved version of ROAM’s flagship design, refined for surfers who want maximum protection in a streamlined, travel-ready format. Built on the proven Tech platform, the Plus introduces key upgrades that push durability and heat management further, while keeping the same functional layout that makes it ideal for everyday use and lightweight strike missions.

Protection is anchored by 10mm high density padding, delivering consistent impact resistance across the entire bag. This is combined with a ripstop nylon side panel, chosen for its abrasion resistance and long-term durability during frequent loading, car transport, and handling. One exterior side is upgraded to a high resistance 420D woven silver reflective material, improving both heat reflection and overall toughness when exposed to sun and rough conditions.

A major upgrade is the YKK molded zipper, a heavy duty zip typically reserved for full travel coffin bags. This improves reliability under load and reduces the risk of zipper failure over time. All remaining hardware is corrosion free, ensuring smooth operation in salt-heavy environments.

Inside, the Tech Plus features a water and wax proof polytarp interior, designed to handle wet boards, wax residue, and damp gear without soaking through. Integrated ventilation panels allow moisture to escape, helping keep boards and the bag itself in better condition between sessions.

The expandable tail area allows boards to be carried with fins installed when needed. When fins are removed, the tail folds flat to keep the bag compact and easy to handle. Both the nose and tail are extra reinforced, targeting the most impact-prone zones during transport.

Carrying comfort is handled by a buckle-free removable shoulder strap paired with a padded carry handle. The strap system includes three attachment points, allowing you to fine-tune balance depending on load distribution, particularly useful when using the integrated wetsuit pocket. An ID badge holder completes the travel-focused feature set.

As with all ROAM bags, the Tech Plus is cut true to size. A bag labelled 6’8 is designed to fit boards up to and including 6’8, offering flexibility across different board shapes within the same length. Shape options vary to suit fish, shortboard, and longboard outlines, with wider nose profiles offering extra packing room when needed.
