No bots, no BS. Just real support from one of our crew members.

Rome Brass HW 2027 is built for a women-specific, softer binding for playful all-mountain and freestyle riding. The Green finish keeps the look clean, while the ride comes from how the HeelWrap, highback and straps work together. Judge it as one tuned system rather than by the flex number alone.

The HeelWrap platform reduces lateral restriction and gives the binding a softer, more surf-influenced feel. Rome’s flex figure is useful inside the brand’s own range, but should not be read as a universal number across every binding brand.

The G Baseplate, 15% glass and 85% nylon transfers input into the board, while the N Highback, 100% nylon provides heel-side support and leverage. Rome’s canted footbed supports a natural stance and adds damping between boot and board. The aim is not maximum rigidity, but a clean connection that matches the intended flex without creating unnecessary pressure.

The UltraFlex Pro ankle strap and ProGrip toe strap distribute pressure over the boot. AuxTech® geometry expands under tension so the strap can wrap rather than pinch one narrow point. Tighten until the boot is stable, not until circulation is restricted. The adjustability rating is 7/10, indicating how much scope this model offers for tuning stance, strap position and response.

Boot-to-binding fit matters more than the size label alone. Available sizes are S, M, L. Place the actual boot in the binding, centre toe and heel overhang, then set strap length and footbed position. Rotate the highback to follow the heel edge and add forward lean gradually. Confirm the supplied mounting disc and hardware suit the board before riding; never force screws that do not seat cleanly.

Choose the HeelWrap for a 4/10 flex with easier lateral movement and a more relaxed connection to the board. It suits playful turns, presses and riders who prefer feel over maximum edge-driving precision.

Browse our snowboard binding collection to compare flex, platform and sizing. Behind The Pines can check the binding with your exact boot and board, which is the most reliable way to confirm centring, strap coverage and clearance.

After the first day, recheck mounting hardware, strap position and stance because fresh components can settle slightly during use.

Snowboard bindings

Snowboard bindings shape board feel, comfort, edge control, and response more than most riders expect. The right bindings create a balanced setup that improves confidence, stability, and overall performance across every riding style.

Snowboard bindings are one of the most important parts of your entire setup. They directly influence board feel, edge control, comfort, response, and how connected you feel to your snowboard. A good pair of bindings can completely change the way a snowboard rides, often more than people initially expect.

At Behind The Pines Amsterdam, we carefully select snowboard bindings that balance performance, durability, comfort, and real-world usability on the mountain. Every binding in our collection is chosen with a specific riding style and terrain focus in mind, from surf-inspired freeride setups to highly responsive carving bindings and softer freestyle-oriented options.

Choosing the right snowboard bindings depends heavily on how and where you ride. Softer bindings generally offer a more forgiving and playful feel, making them ideal for freestyle riding, park laps, and riders who prioritise freedom of movement. Stiffer bindings deliver faster edge response, greater stability at speed, and more precision in technical terrain or aggressive carving situations.

If you want to better understand flex ratings, mounting systems, highbacks, straps, response characteristics, and how bindings influence overall board feel, explore our Snowboard Bindings Explained guide.

At Behind The Pines, we believe a snowboard setup should feel balanced as a whole. The interaction between your snowboard, snowboard bindings, and snowboard boots has a major influence on comfort, responsiveness, stability, and confidence on snow. Even the best snowboard can feel completely different depending on the bindings mounted underneath it.

Modern snowboard bindings continue evolving rapidly. Improved dampening systems, more ergonomic straps, lighter materials, and refined flex patterns have made today’s bindings significantly more comfortable and responsive than older generations. Small details in cushioning and fit now make a noticeable difference during long days on the mountain.

Different riders naturally look for different characteristics in a binding. Freeriders often prefer damp and stable bindings with strong edge control for steep terrain and high-speed riding. Freestyle riders may prioritise flexibility, board feel, and mobility for presses, spins, and park riding. All-mountain riders usually sit somewhere in between, searching for versatility across varying snow conditions and terrain.

At Behind The Pines Amsterdam, we focus on snowboard bindings that are designed to perform in real mountain conditions rather than simply standing out visually. Long-term comfort, reliable construction, consistent response, and compatibility with modern snowboard shapes all play an important role in the products we curate.

Whether you are building your very first snowboard setup or upgrading to a more advanced configuration, the right bindings can dramatically improve your overall riding experience.
