The Rome Ravine Pro 2027 Snowboard is built as the harder-charging version of Rome’s all-terrain freeride platform. This is a directional board designed for riders who want clear input, strong rebound, and dependable support when terrain gets deeper, steeper, or more demanding. Its construction is tuned for speed and pressure, with a shape and layup that favour committed turns over a loose or forgiving ride.

The board uses Rome’s Free The Ride profile, with rocker from the tip to just behind the front binding and camber through the remainder of the board. That combination gives the Ravine Pro a precise balance of float and control. The rocker-loaded nose improves lift and manoeuvrability in soft snow, while the camber section adds grip, stability, and the drive needed for aggressive riding on firmer sections or variable terrain.

A directional shape, paired with taper and Directional Diamond 3D shaping in the nose, supports the board’s freeride position. The longer nose and shorter tail help the board stay composed in powder and maintain smooth turn initiation in mixed snow. The spooned 3D nose shape is aimed at better float and easier handling when conditions become uneven or technical.

Underfoot, the Ravine Pro is built around a Superpop Core, Rome’s lightest core design, using 10 mm poplar strips and 20 mm paulownia strips. Rome adds Carbon Omega HotRods for maximum snap and fast response, giving the board a more energetic and precise feel. Triax Glass increases torsional stiffness and pop, while Flax Impact Plates reinforce the insert zones for added durability and impact absorption without changing the flex pattern. Directional Flax Walls in the nose add extra stability, power, and control in steep terrain and inconsistent snow.

The Tri-Radial Sidecut keeps edge engagement progressive and predictable, with a smooth transition through the full turn. At the base, Rome uses its SinterSpeed Base, a premium sintered base built for strong wax absorption and reliable speed.

For riders looking for a directional freeride snowboard with more return, more support, and a stronger response under pressure, the Ravine Pro sits firmly on the powerful side of the spectrum.

Backseat Camber / S-Rocker

Backseat camber snowboard profile

Built to ride one way.

These shapes are more directional, with extra support where you need it and more lift in the nose for better float in softer snow. They tend to feel stable on piste and more natural when conditions open up off-piste.
