Rome Women's Bodega BOA 2027 combines women-specific all-mountain support with independent fit adjustment. The Black boot uses a 6/10 flex, H-Series upper dial and M-Series forefoot dial for overlapping dual-zone BOA® adjustment and a heat-mouldable liner. Together, closure and liner let you tune hold without relying on excessive pressure: start snug, flex the boot, then make small adjustments.
Rome’s 6/10 flex positions this model inside its own boot range. A softer shell allows more ankle movement and is easier to manipulate at lower speed; a firmer shell gives more leverage when the rider loads an edge, rides through rough snow or lands with force. Flex numbers are not directly comparable between every brand, so use them as a Rome reference.
The H-Series upper dial and M-Series forefoot dial for overlapping dual-zone BOA® adjustment provides independent upper and lower-zone adjustment. Turn the dial in small steps, flex forward and let the lace settle before adding more tension. More tension is not automatically more secure: the target is even pressure and stable heel hold without numbness or restricted circulation.
The heat-mouldable liner can adapt around the foot and ankle. Professional heat moulding may shorten the break-in period, while normal riding also lets the foam settle gradually. Standing upright, the toes may lightly touch the front; in a riding stance they should pull back slightly. Curling toes, sharp pressure or persistent heel lift indicate that size or internal volume needs another look.
Accurate snowboard-boot sizing starts with both feet measured in centimetres, using the larger foot. Do not add the casual-shoe room that often causes snowboard boots to feel comfortable in the shop but loose after several days. Sock thickness, instep height, forefoot shape and ankle volume all influence fit. The available sizes here are 36.5, 37.0, 38.0, 38.5, 39.0; the printed number is only the first filter.
Check binding compatibility and centring with the actual boot. Toe and heel straps should land in their intended zones, the boot should sit flat, and the binding chassis must not squeeze the shell. After the first days, recheck dial tension, liner seating and strap length. Dry the liner at room temperature, keep the lace path clean and avoid direct heaters that can damage foam or adhesives.
Browse our snowboard boot collection and compare flex and closure. Behind The Pines recommends an in-person fit whenever possible, because small volume differences can matter more than catalogue language. For an online order, test indoors with the socks and footbeds you intend to ride before taking the boots outside.
