Skyline Fuse 3L Guide Jacket Blue Steel

The Fuse 3L Guide Jacket is a technical jacket made for riders who want their outerwear to work quietly and consistently through a full winter day. In the Blue Steel colourway, it has a clear, functional look without losing sight of what matters on snow: protection from changing weather, enough freedom to move naturally, and details that remain useful when gloves, a helmet and a backpack are all part of the setup.

Japanese-woven 70D three-layer Pro Shell. This is the foundation of the piece and defines how it handles wind, snowfall and contact with wet chairlifts or deep snow. Toray Dermizax membrane rated at 36,000mm waterproofing and 23,000g breathability. The cut is considered rather than restrictive, so there is space for an appropriate base layer and midlayer while the garment can still follow the body through turns, traverses and binding adjustments.

Fully taped seams and YKK AquaGuard zips. That matters because good outerwear is not only about a waterproof fabric. Moisture management, seam construction and the way openings are positioned all determine how comfortable the piece feels after several hours. Helmet-compatible hood and integrated powder skirt. Together, these details make the design easier to regulate when the pace changes or the weather closes in.

Relaxed fit built for technical mountain use. The pocket and adjustment layout is intended to stay usable with winter gloves, while the snow-specific patterning supports the movements you repeat all day: reaching for straps, sitting on a lift, skating through a queue and riding with knees flexed. Nothing needs to be overcomplicated. The value is in features that sit in the right place and continue to make sense from first chair to the final run.

This technical jacket works best as part of a deliberate layering system. On mild, high-output days, combine it with a technical base layer and keep insulation light. When temperatures drop, add a fleece or insulated midlayer rather than relying on a single bulky layer. That approach gives you more control over warmth and makes it easier to adapt between sheltered tree runs, exposed lifts and windy ridgelines.

Fit should be checked in a riding position, not only while standing upright. Wear the layers you expect to use, bend the knees, raise the arms and make sure the cuffs, waist and seat still cover properly. If you ride with a backpack or harness, check that pocket access and ventilation remain clear. The available sizes for this colour are XS, S, M, L, XL; choosing enough room for movement is useful, but excess fabric can feel less precise in strong wind.

Technical fabrics perform best when they are kept clean. Follow the care label, close zips and hook-and-loop tabs before washing, use a suitable technical detergent and avoid fabric softener. After washing, restore the water-repellent finish as instructed by the manufacturer. Regular care helps the face fabric shed water, keeps breathability working and extends the useful life of the garment.
