Snow Peak FR 2L Down Jacket Dark Olive

The Snow Peak FR 2L Down Jacket Dark Olive is built for cold, changeable conditions where insulation and weather protection need to work together. Its two-layer outer fabric combines polyester with aramid fibres, creating a waterproof, breathable and flame-resistant shell around high-loft down insulation. Inside, Snow Peak uses washable duck down with 800 fill power. An integrated chin guard softens the top of the front zip when the jacket is fully closed. Storage includes two warm side pockets, a security pocket and an inner pocket for items you want to keep sheltered. Water-repellent zip details help support the weather-resistant design, but every opening should still be treated as a potential route for moisture in sustained exposure.

The FR name refers to flame-resistant performance, not a fireproof garment. The aramid-blend shell is intended to improve resistance around sparks and campfire use, but it can still burn, melt or become damaged. Keep a safe distance from open flames, hot stoves and flying embers, and do not use the jacket as protective workwear. This distinction matters: flame resistance offers useful reassurance around camp, but it never replaces normal fire safety.

The two-layer shell is designed for wind and rain protection, making this jacket more self-contained than a standard down layer. Even so, prolonged abrasion, contamination and repeated washing can affect water repellency. Follow the care label exactly, use a down-appropriate washing method and make sure the insulation dries completely and evenly before storage. Never store down compressed or damp. Regularly check the shell for ember damage, sharp snags and wear around the cuffs, pocket edges and zip.
