Snowboard Mittens
Snowboard Mittens
Snowboard mittens keep your fingers together, making them a popular choice for riders who prioritise warmth. Our selection includes leather mittens, waterproof models, insulated styles and separate liners from Hestra, Pow, Howl, Transform, Arc'teryx and Volcom.
With otherwise comparable construction, mittens generally retain warmth well, but insulation, fit and moisture management still matter. A thin wool mitt is not a replacement for a protective outer in wet snow. Compare each model's materials and lining rather than assuming the shape alone determines warmth. A removable liner can make drying easier, while cuff design and wrist leashes can be useful on the mountain. For more independent finger movement, compare five-finger gloves or trigger styles.
Fit, protection and care
Check the size guide for the specific model. Your hand should close comfortably without the lining being compressed. If you want to add a liner, check the combination together rather than automatically choosing a larger size. Cuff length also matters: the glove or mitten should work with your jacket sleeve and keep snow out.
A leather outer does not automatically make a glove waterproof. Look for the membrane and construction in the product specifications. Liners and fleece styles serve a different purpose from insulated snow gloves. Dry your handwear gently at room temperature and follow the manufacturer's care instructions, particularly for leather.
