The Hestra CZone Contact Glove Black is a waterproof five-finger glove for changeable weather, active days and situations where grip and dexterity matter. Unlike a bulky alpine glove, it uses a slim, flexible construction that suits hiking, travel, cycling, dog walking and cool mountain conditions. The all-black colour keeps the technical design clean and easy to combine.
A waterproof and breathable CZone membrane sits within the glove to block rain and wet wind while allowing moisture to escape. The flexible stretch-fabric backhand moves comfortably with the hand, helping the glove maintain a useful 6/8 mobility rating. It is warm enough for cool, unsettled conditions without being intended as a deep-winter resort glove.
The palm uses hardwearing synthetic suede with a grip-enhancing print. That surface gives better control on trekking poles, handlebars, camera equipment and everyday objects, even when the weather turns damp. Touchscreen-compatible material on the thumb and index finger lets you operate a phone or GPS without immediately exposing your hands to wind and rain.
Hestra rates the glove at 4/8 for warmth and 5/8 for durability. These figures describe its purpose well: it is an agile weather-protection glove for movement rather than maximum insulation. During high-output activity, the lighter warmth can be an advantage because it reduces overheating and moisture build-up inside the glove.
The fit should be close enough to preserve dexterity without compressing the insulation or restricting circulation. If you intend to wear a separate liner, allow sufficient room. The glove is washable, but follow Hestra’s care guidance, close fastenings and avoid fabric softeners or direct heat, which may damage the membrane and synthetic materials.
Choose the CZone Contact when your priority is reliable waterproof protection, grip and touchscreen function in one versatile glove. For colder ski days, step up to a more heavily insulated model; for mixed-season outdoor use, this is the more precise tool. Compare other options in our Hestra gloves collection. It is an especially useful pair to keep ready for wet commutes, spring hikes and unpredictable travel weather.
Fit guidance: this model works best with a close, precise fit, but there must still be space to flex the fingers freely. Measure around the widest part of the hand and follow Hestra’s size chart. If your priority is layering, select enough volume for a thin liner without compression.
