Rome Katana AW FASE® Black 2026 Snowboard Bindings

Rome Katana AW FASE™ Black: The Future of Snowboarding

The Rome Katana AW FASE™ is the next chapter in the evolution of one of the most storied bindings in snowboarding. Built on the proven, hyper-adjustable Katana AW platform, the FASE™ Fast Entry System elevates its performance and lightweight construction to a new level. Strapping in and out has never been faster or more effortless, meaning you spend more time on the mountain and less time fiddling with your gear.

The FASE™ Fast Entry System

At the heart of this innovation is the FASE™ (Fast Action Strap Entry) system. This isn't just another quick-entry system; it's an optimized version of the traditional 2-strap binding you know and trust. It combines the speed of a rear-entry binding with the fit and performance of a classic design. The FASE™ ensures you'll "Never Miss a Day," whether you're racing for first tracks in fresh powder or lapping the park.

Unmatched Adjustability and Response

With an adjustability score of 9/10 and a flex rating of 6-8, the Katana AW FASE™ strikes a perfect balance between responsiveness and a playful feel. The key to this customizability is the FASE™ PivotMount. This unique system provides four different ankle strap mounting options per side, resulting in a total of 16 adjustment possibilities. This allows you to dial in the ankle strap position to perfectly match your boots and riding style for an unparalleled fit and power transfer.

AsymWrap Platform: Surf, Tweak, and Respond

The Katana AW FASE™ is built on the AsymWrap platform, a favorite among riders seeking maximum board feel and tweakability. This platform delivers a surfy, fluid feel without sacrificing the edge-to-edge response needed for high-speed carves and technical lines. Its asymmetrical design promotes a natural flex underfoot, allowing for deeper presses and more stylish grabs.

High-Quality Materials and Straps

The binding is constructed from a blend of nylon and glass in the baseplate (70/30) and highback (85/15), ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong build. The OmniFlex ankle straps and ProGrip toe straps feature AuxTech®, a technology that provides even pressure distribution and a locked-in fit without pressure points. The 2-degree canted footbed supports a natural alignment for your knees and ankles, reducing fatigue during long days on the mountain.
