The Burton 50/50 94’ Twin 2027 brings back the attitude of Burton’s 1994 in-line twin while rebuilding it with current materials and The Channel mounting system. This is a centred freestyle snowboard for riders who want equal confidence riding regular or switch. Its natural home is the park, side hits and groomer sessions where pop, edge control and predictable landings matter more than powder float. The 50th-anniversary graphic supplies the archive character; the construction keeps it relevant for modern riding.
A true twin shape gives the board matching nose and tail dimensions, a centred stance and balanced flex. That symmetry makes spins, switch approaches and flat-ground tricks feel consistent in both directions. Traditional camber between the contact points stores energy as the board is loaded, producing lively ollies and a precise edge through carved turns. It rewards solid technique more than a loose rocker board, making it best for confident intermediate and advanced freestyle riders.
Inside, the Super Fly II 700G core uses selected woods to balance strength, low weight and response. Dualzone EGD positions the wood grain for stronger edge control, while Triax fibreglass supports a direct, composed flex. A Carbon I-Beam adds energy along the board’s length without turning it into an overly heavy platform. The overall personality is medium flex: supportive for jumps and landings, but still manageable for presses and creative park lines.
Burton’s Frostbite Edges create extra contact around the binding area to improve grip when the piste becomes firm. The Channel allows precise stance adjustment and works with compatible Burton hardware as well as many current bindings when the correct discs are used. The FSC-certified wood core supports more responsible forest sourcing. This board is not designed as a powder specialist; the centred twin outline prioritises freestyle balance rather than directional float.
Choose length by combining rider weight, boot size and preferred terrain. The 146 and 150 are quicker edge to edge and easier to move through technical park riding. The 156 gives more platform for larger riders or faster jump lines, while the 162 adds stability and width. Check the official table below rather than choosing solely by height. If your boots sit close to the width limit, bring them in so we can check overhang with your binding.
