The Hestra reMix Mitt – Brown/Cork redefines what sustainable craftsmanship can look like. Designed for winter adventure and built to last, it transforms surplus leather into a durable, functional, and beautifully distinctive mitten, without compromise on performance or comfort.
Every pair of reMix Mitts is made using high-quality recovered cowhide and goatskin that wouldn’t normally make it into production due to minor surface variations or cosmetic imperfections. By repurposing these materials, Hestra reduces waste while delivering the same level of strength, flexibility and weather resistance found in their premium glove lineup.
The result is a tough yet refined mitten with a naturally varied leather texture that gives each pair a unique character. The short cuff and elasticated wrist ensure a snug, comfortable fit while keeping snow and wind out. Reinforced seams add durability, making the reMix Mitt suitable for everything from winter hikes and outdoor work to everyday cold-weather wear.
Inside, the mitten features a removable wool liner, combining wool pile and wool terry for exceptional warmth, moisture management and breathability. Wool remains insulating even when damp, making it ideal for extended use in mixed conditions. When the liner needs cleaning or drying, it can easily be removed, and replaced over time for longer product life.
Rated at 7/8 for warmth and 6/8 for durability, the reMix Mitt delivers reliable protection through long days outdoors. Its sustainable design philosophy not only minimizes waste but also encourages longevity through repairability and care. Each pair is made in Hestra’s Hai Phong workshop in Vietnam, where the brand’s commitment to quality and responsible production continues to define its legacy.
Because these mittens are crafted from reclaimed materials, color and finish may vary slightly, making every pair a true one-off. Functional, warm, and sustainable, the Hestra reMix Mitt – Brown/Cork stands as proof that performance gear can be both premium and planet-conscious.

Hestra Gloves
The family business Martin Magnusson & Co. was founded in 1936 and is now run by the third and fourth generation of Magnussons. Both design and development is done at the headquarters in the small village Hestra, Sweden. Our gloves are manufactured in our own factories and we personally buy all leather, fabric, wool and other materials. This gives us control of the production chain and ensures a high level of quality. Several of our models are handmade by some of the most experienced glove makers in Europe. In 2019, we produced over 2 million pairs of gloves. The company has about 50 employees at its headquarters in Sweden. We also have a subsidiaries in United States, Norway and Germany as well as agents, distributors and retailers in over 30 countries.
